going thru a divorce/serious health issues

what happens if I file bankruptcy and my ex spouse is not and both of our names are on the mortgage for our house. And we have shared loans. I have become gravely ill and have no income to pay any of my creditors

If you file for bankruptcy (or a proposal) then you will be protected from your creditors. If your ex doesn’t also file then they will be expected/required to repay your joint debts.

If you have no income and you are dealing with health issues, you might decide to delay filing until you are back on your feet. While you have no income there may not be any advantage to you to filing for bankruptcy now.
