was delinquent on paying my bankruptcy and now the trustee has filed for his discharge on February 5. If I pay my balance to the trustee before that date, can I still be released, or will what I pay to the trustee just be lost. Will I be able to file for bankruptcy again, or will I be just left to the wolves.

A licensed trustee said...

I strongly suggest you contact your trustee immediately (ie before Feb 5!) to determine what you need to do in order to complete your bankruptcy. Depending on your conduct through out the bankruptcy your trustee may agree not to close the file. Keep in mind, if yuo had doen everything that you were supposed to, when yuo were supposed to do it, you would not be in this predicament right now…
