Will my parents’ income be included in my surplus

I currently live with my parents b/c i can`t afford to go on my own. When I file for bankruptcy do their income have anything to do with me? Will their income be included in my surplus income because I reside with them?

Sorry, but the best answer I can give you is “maybe”. It will literally depend on the specifics of your living arrangements – do you simply rent a room from your folks or are you helping to pay any household bills, doing any of the maintenance or upkeep, eating with your parents? Based on these and other factors, the trustee you see will be able to tell you if your parent’s income will have an impact on your surplus income calculation.
