RRSP`S protection

There is apparently a new canadian law as of this year that prevents the RRSP`S from banks not to be part of a bancruptcy. Can you give me some light or updated info on this matter?

You are correct, on July 7, 2008, the law was adjusted so that now all RRSP’s except for contributions made in the last 12 months are protected (i.e. you keep if you file for bankruptcy).
