At the very least he will have to help collect reciepts for any purchases in the household so that you can report these to your trustee. Past that the extent of his involvement would depend on whether he is listed on any of the debts, or the types of assets you jointly own together. If your husband hasn’t signed on any of your debts, if you don’t really own any major property together then a bankruptcy will likely have a very limited impact other than having him help to keep reciepts. The best thing to do is to contact a local trustee, have them assess your situation in detail and then they will be in a position to explain what type of impact a bankruptcy may or may not have on your spouse.
