I am proceeding with claiming banckruptcy, and was wondering if the gift certificates i purchased at xmas for people were still valid or will they be taken away from them when they try to use them.

A licensed trustee said...

They will not be affected. If you still have any in your possession (that you bought for yourself or didn’t give to others) they should be surrendered to your trustee when you file for bankruptcy.
