Co-owner of property

I am a co-owner of land worth approx. $4000. If the person I am co-owner with goes bankrupt, what happens to `our` land? Can I buy them out or am I out of luck?

The best thing do do is to contact the trustee he goes bankrupt with. That way you will be able to arrange to purchase the other 1/2 of the property from trustee.
