I have been bankrupt since 2005 and am going to bankruptcy court this month – my trustee has provided little information as to what to expect – how long can they collect surplus income from me – we have made good money but they haven`t asked for any income from us yet – could this change on the court date?

Everything is up to the court, the court could grant you a discharge, they could require you to pay more money, they could simply hold you in bankruptcy for an extended period of time. The best thing to do is to contact your trustee, ask what is going to take place and see if they can give you an indicaiton what they are going to ask for and how they expect the court to react.
