allowable income for 2008

This website lists the allowable income as $1755 for 2006. What is the amount for 2008?

I`m researching for a friend who is seperated and paying $1000/month child support. Is there any consideration made for additional expenses (ie, clothing, lessons, organized sports. etc) that he pays for the children over and above the amount of child support ordered by the court? Is that left to the trustee to determine?

The income thresholds for 2008 have not been published yet – they are usually released in the later part of February by the Office of the Superintendent of Bankrutpcy.

Regarding your second question, only the Court Ordered payments are allowable deductions. Think of it this way – parent’s that have custody of their children are not allowed to deduct the extra things that they pay for – it’s part of the cost of being a parent.
