purchase a vehicle

before i go bankrupt could I purchase a vehicle off my visa card. I was told it must be under $3000.
Would this be legal?

This is definately not legal and if you do something like this prior to filing a bankruptcy it will cause you a great deal of difficulty.

Purposely purchasing something on credit prior to filing for bankruptcy will be considered fraud and the result is you will have to pay the full $3000 back and your discharge application will be opposed as you would have clearly committed a bankruptcy offense and would not be elligibe for discharge.
