Personal Loan

I had an exboyfriend lend me $4000.00 about a year ago. I am now planning on filing bankruptcy as I cannot keep up with all the other debts I owe. My question is, can bankruptcy wipe clean the money he wants back? I understand I cannot pay him anything while in the nine months of bankruptcy, but can he come after me and sue me later for that money?

Legally speaking you would be cleared from this debt and he has no right to come back after you and sue you for this money. If he tried you would simply show the court your bankrutpcy documents and that he was listed and they would proceed no further.
