Buying a home after settling debt

My husband and I are currently settling debt that we have and I want to know how badly this will hurt our credit. We have two debts being settled with the same company. We will pay it off in 3 or less years. Will we ever be able to buy another house after this??

While it this is a difficult question to answer as I have not been party to the settlement and have no idea what has been negoitiated or what your current financial circumstances are, but typically speaking most people can re-establish their credit by following the process outlined at this site: credit repair.
