This will be based on provincial legislation so the rate will differ across the country. Therefore you are best to check with a local trustee for this information.

Although, for comparison in Alberta for a single person your first $800 is protected. Then they can garnish 50% of anything between $800 and $2400 of income and any income above $2400 they can garnish 100% of. These cut-offs are increased by $200 for every dependent you have.
