Supplementary or Joint

How can I find out if my spouse is a joint borrower or just supplementary card holder on my credit cards?

The only way to know for sure is to review the origninal documents that were signed to see if she was listed as joint or supplementary.

While this is not always possible to do quickly as you may have to order them from the bank there are a few places you can look that aren’t guaranteed to show you but can provide fairly solid evidence.

The first is the bill it self and who it is addressed to. If it is joint it normally comes in both names, if it is supplementary the supplementary cardholders name typically isn’t used.

Another good place to look is the credit buruea, if it is supplementary the card likely won’t show up on the supplementary card holders credit history, but if it is joint it will.
