There is never a guarantee, but as long as you are up to date on your mortgage payments and the equity in your house is less than or equal to the allowable exemption in your province then you shouldn`t have any problems.

The biggest determining factor is the province in which you live as teh equity exemptions fluctuate significantly across the country.
