taking money for emergency

My last loan was taken for the emergency. I had to take the trip overseas because of the illness of my father. My question is: is the trustee going to look for any receipts from airline tickets. I guess are they really looking for the proof how the mony was spent.

Typically the trustee will review any major purchases made or loans granted in the 3 months prior to filing of a bankruptcy. But depending on the circumstances they may be required to review up to 12 months prior.

The best thing to do is simply explain the situation to the trustee the first time you meet and that will reduce any potential difficulties.
