Uncertain Position

I went to school over 10 years ago, funded by employment insurance. I didn`t finish the entire course and under that condition, I may be asked to repay the entire loan including all support for the year. I haven`t been asked, and I read of another man who was asked 25 years later to pay back a huge interest accrued debt. He fought it in court and didn`t end up losing his house, fortunately. But I am looking at the same possibility. I don`t know if I owe them a huge mounting debt or not!
What do I do? I am afraid to ask them and then start the ball rolling, so to speak.
If I do owe them money, are they required to tell me at some point? They`d want about 25,000 about 15 years ago.

From the description you have provided it is difficult to determine. What I would recommend is that you gather up all the documents you have concerning your bankruptcy and the support you recieved.

Bring this into a trustee and have them review this documentation to determine if you owe the money or not. If the trustee is not in a position to help then I would recommend contacting an insolvency lawyer instead.

One of these two avenues should be able to provide you the clarity you need.
