abestos settlement

Is there an act in BC where if a person is in bankrupty and they receive an asbestos settlement
that it is exempt from bankruptcy
I was on the internet a few months ago and believe I read that but I can not find it again

You would be best to contact an insolvency lawyer as they would be the ones more likely to be aware of this type of legislation.

While a trustee may be aware of something similar if they have come across it in practice, as it is outside the normal scope of insolvency proceedings, if they haven’t seen it personally it is unlikely they would be familiar of this type of thing.
