Bankruptcy and Child Support
I think I posted my question on the wrong page previously!
I was going to go through the Family Responsibility Office for my child support. (My ex pays support when and if he feels like it due to gambling debt.) He just informed me that him and his wife are filing for bankruptcy. Should I still file the information with FRO? How does this affect the child support? He`s doesn`t have a lot of arrears from child support, I`d rather deal with the FRO than having to ask him constantly to pay!!
I would really appreciate a response. Thanks so much.

Even if your ex files for bankruptcy, the FRO still has the right to garnishee his wages so that you will receive your child support. If you’ve had payment problems (with him) then it probably makes sense to use the FRO to help.
