Applying for bankruptcy but not really bankrupt

I know this sound like a dumb question but im wondering. I know somebody who recently just apply for bankruptcy but in reality she`s not. She makes about 40 to 50 thousand dollars a year and she just simply run her credit cards and feels like not paying anymore, so she is applying even though shes not. Is there a number where I could call to advise the government or anything that shes using bankruptcy as her scapegoat ….

If you have concerns regarding someone’s bankuptcy you should either contact the trustee handling the file or the nearest Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy.
