Mr. I

I am a disabled person who may be filing for bankruptcy. I pay a lot of bills for medications and various other medical supplies. What will happen when I have to pay 50% or more into my bankruptcy?

While I cannot comment on this directly until I have seen the specifics of your situaiton, but there is a program known as the Bankruptcy Assistance Program that can provide a subsidized rate for the bankruptcy.

To be eligible for this you have to meet with two trustees who think your situation merits this program, although you will find that to meet the requirements of this program is very rare and many who feel they should qualify do not.
