What does Suspended mean?

I have done a search and this person is not discharged but `suspended`. What does suspended mean?

This means a discharged has been granted, but there is a period of time before it becomes effective.

For example, the court hearing may occure on September 1, 2007, but if the order reads that the discharge will be suspended for 3 year, that means on September 1, 2010 they will be discharged from bankruptcy.
