payments
I plan on declaring bankruptcy in the very near future – the debts are too large – I am on a pension – that is the only income I have.
I have stopped making payments to my creditors – who have been calling.
Should I try to make small payments to the creditors – until such time that I do declare bankrupcty or should I just wait it out?
I live in Quebec.
Also, can a creditor make a seizure before judgement on the debt that I owe?
I went through a very depressing time and spent way above my means to try to lift my spirits and even lost some money gambling.
At this point I am not even sure if I would qualify for banruptcy. I do not want to lose my car – my husband is sick and needs to be driven to his various doctors appointments – so I need the car.
What should I do?

I think you should use the links on this site to find a trustee in your area and either give them a call or go and speak to them directly. I realize it is a difficult decision, but I think you will feel more confident about your options after you’ve taken the time to speak to a trustee.
