certificate of discharge?

My husband and I filed for bankruptcy in the fall and our expected automatic discharge date is coming up quickly. Assuming that all goes as planned and the bankruptcy is automatically discharged next week, how long will it take before we receive the Certificate of Discharge?

This really depends on your trustee’s office and the local courts. In our area this takes roughly 3 or 4 weeks, but our courts have very little backlog. In a place like Ontario there could be substantial difference. So for a better idea conact your trustee.
