Student loan after discharge

I have been discharged from bankruptcy. I know that student loans are not forgiven in a bankruptcy. When do I have to start trying to pay back my student loans??After my personal discharge?? Or after the trustee is discharged??? I have a Creditor contacting me looking for a large student loan payment, however I was under the beleif that student loan payments would not resume untill my trustee was discharged….Thanks

I always recommend you contact student loans directy as soon as you have been discharged from bankruptcy. It is unusal for student loans to make much of an effort to contact you so it is best if you make the effort so that you are not penalized.
