RRSP in Saskatchewan
In the FAQ section of the website you have mentioned that in Saskatchewan RRSPs are exempt from seizure in a bankruptcy. But elsewhere you have mentioned that (anywhere in Canada) RRSPs are seized unless locked in. Which one is true?

This is one of the shortcomings of a forum directed across such a vast country. There is the norm and then there is always the exception. In this case Saskatchewan is the exception to the rule. Most RRSP’s are exempt in saskatchewan, which is different than the rest of the country.
Although, there are a few situations where even in saskatchewan that RRSP’s are lost so it would be best for you to consult with a local trustee and confirm that you don’t fall in to this category.
