trustee fee and debts after filing bankruptcy
I signed all the papers for my bankruptcy but was never in a position to pay the trustee the money for his service. He has now notified me that he is proceeding to oppose the discharge.
1. What are my options at this point. If I can come up with the money will he proceed to complete the discharge process?
2. I have some subsequent debts after the papers were signed. Can these debts be added to the original bankruptcy?
Thanks fo any info.

The first question is quite a common on. Now that the trustee has set a court date he must make that application. At that hearing he simply reports on what has or hasn’t been done through the course of the bankruptcy. If you have successfully complied with all your obligations the trustee will simply request the court to grant a discharge.
In terms of debts entered into after the bankruptcy was signed. Unfortunately they cannot be included. The Bankruptcy & Insolvency Act is very clear that you can be cleared from debts that relate to actions prior to the filing of a bankruptcy.
