Canadian Living in the US

My debt in Canada is grinding me down while living in the US, I’ve been sending payments, but soon I’m not going to be able to afford to do so. All my debt is to one financial institution, and it looks like bankruptcy isn’t possible in my situation, what can I do?

A licensed trustee said...

If you intend to continue living in the U.S., it is difficult for your Canadian creditors to pursue you in the U.S. If you plan to return to Canada, your wages in Canada could be garnisheed. I suggest you contact a licensed trustee if you plan to return to Canada, so that you can decide if bankruptcy is an option worth considering.
