Is a person in bankruptcy not allowed to give support or gifts to family members

My father lives with me, as a single mother of two boys, and has contributed to the household income. Is this not allowed when a person is in bankruptcy?

If your father is paying you rent, that would be included in your income in the bankruptcy. It’s only a factor if you have surplus income. If your father is helping with expenses (such as he pays the phone bill directly to the phone company), that is probably not included in your income. I suggest you contact a local trustee for a specific answer in your situation.
