Is it required to file a proposal or bankruptcy using a trustee within the same province of residency or can this be filed from anywhere in Canada ?

Generally bankruptcy is filed in the location you reside, although it is possible to file bankruptcy in a different location if your debts are in another part of the country. Click here for a list of trustees who can explain the residency requirements in a bankruptcy.
