credit card during bankruptcy

I filed for personal bankruptcy in August and I am due to be discharged in May. Can I apply for a secured credit card now, before discharge?

It is my recommendation that you don’t rush the rebuilding or credit process. While there is nothing preventing you from applying for a secured credit card prior to discharge as long as you disclose the fact that you are currently in bankruptcy, I suggest you are better to focus on completing the bankruptcy first and then worry about the credit.
