Furniture and Kitchen Appliances

If I bought furniture and kitchen appliances using store credit/credit cards, am I to return all these items in bankruptcy? Even if I need a stove to cook and bed to sleep in?

While this depends largely on when you bought the appliances, typically, in order to keep the items in question you will have to give the value of these appliances to your trustee to be distributed among all of your creditors. If you fail to do this the trustee normally requires the appliances to be sold at auction. For further details you should contact a trustee in your area and discus the specific’s of these appliances with your trustee.
