Very Confused and Frustrated!

I am very confused! I have been released from bankruptcy and thought that I was starting over. Do I need to worry about money I may inherit in the next 6 or more years? I was told when I recieved my release papers that they couldn’t touch anything anymore then I was also told that even though I have my release papers that I need to worry if I get money from an inheritance. This worries me and I need to know what information is correct.
I claimed bankruptcy in British Columbia.

If you knew about the inheritance while you were bankrupt, it is likely you will lose it even if you are discharged. However, if you were not aware of the inheritance while you were bankrupt, once you are discharged the process is over; none of the creditors in your bankruptcy can get at your inheritance. Your trustee can provide you with more details on your specific case.
