How long does it take for a credit card company to garnishee my bank account ? Is such account subject to collection anytime money shows up on it ?
Do they need a court order to collect from my bank acc ?

As for time, it really depends on how aggressive the bank wants to be. Typically they can do everything necessary in as little as 2 weeks, but rarely do you find that the bank jumps right to a garnishee. Typically you have at least a month in collections and then depending on what happens in that processes will determine the next step. Most creditors do need to get a court order to seize funds in an account (unless the funds are held by the same lending institution you owe money).
