Should our son file for Bankruptcy
Our 26 year old is in so much debt, and owns nothing, plus he was handed a garnish his wages last eve for his child support as he is behind with it and all his payments. His lawyer wants to be paid and he has nothing to give him. He has a good job and makes good money But he does not know how to manage it. I am not going to bail him out any more as I have my own debt. Thanks Judy

Well Judy, this may be tough to hear, but the best thing you can do is suggest to your son that he contact someone himself to deal with his financial problems. Direct him to the site and have him use the links at the side of the page to find a professional in your area that he can talk to.
You are right – you can’t keep bailing him out. At some point he has to stand up and learn to deal with things himself. The first step is always admitting there is a problem. Then he has to decide to get some help. As much as you may want to help, “you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink”.
Good luck.
