Generally no, your employer is not notified if you go bankrupt in Canada. If your wages are being garnisheed, your employer will be notified (since that’s the only way to stop the garnishment). Also, if you do not co-operate with the trustee, the trustee may contact your employer to obtain information necessary to complete your bankruptcy. Your trustee will provide you with further details.
