No CPP or UI payments – is this surplus income?

If I have surplus income only because my bi-weekly deductions for CPP &UI on my pay cheque ($140 x 2 = $280/mth) have ceased (paid up for year in Sept), is this considered surplus income subject to surplus income rules and half is now payable to the trustee each month until the deductions start anew in 2007?

We are glad to hear these sites have been useful. In terms of surplus, whether or not you have to pay surplus is based on your monthly net income. As a result when CPP and EI are no longer necessary to be paid, if this puts you over on the guideline you ware obligated to make the surplus payments.
