property taxes during bankruptcy

I owed about 4000.00 in back taxes on my house which were included in my debts for bankruptcy. I continued to make morgage payments until my bankruptcy was discharged so kept the house . About 4 months after discharge I gave the house back to the bank . I was charged with a settlement of 8000.00 to cover costs , etc. 4000.00 of this settlement was the past taxes which where oridinally listed in my bankruptcy .
Do I owe this portion of the judgement or did the court make an error in assessing me this portion of the costs of disposal? I might mention also the house was sold for 10,000.00 under it’s value .

The property taxes would have been listed in your bankruptcy, but not cleared. They operate much like the mortgage, therefore the settlement is correct to include the $4,000 as it would have been a necessary component of selling the house..
