Questions concerning bankruptcy

Hi there, I am a single mother, i work 4 or 5 days a week and I have bills that I cannot pay when my child is first in line. I tried obtaining a credit card but my credit is obviously bad and I duno if declaring bankruptcy is the right choice. what are my risks is doing so? And how much bad credit is bad credit before we can declare bankruptcy? I am just basically researching the info because im concerned that if I jump into it without knowing the facts I might regret it…. if you could get back to me as soon as possible it would be greatly appreciated~! Thank you…

No one reputable can tell whether or not you should file bankruptcy based on an e-mail. What I suggest you do is use the links on this page to find a trustee in your area and give them a call. They can walk you through bankruptcy and its alternatives over the phone – they won’t be able to tell you whether or not you should file either, but they can provide you with more information than we can in a blog.

Good luck – you’ve got the right idea: research your options and then decide on the plan that’s right for you and your family.
