Second Bancruptcy still waiting discharge

I had some unfortunate events in my past and was forced to claim bankruptcy for the second time. I did this in 2001 and still haven’t been thru the discharge process. I have read that it is up to my trustee to do this, but I now live 4 hours away from him, and going to see him is very difficult. I met all conditions except for one meeting, due to work commitments. Am I not going to be discharged until I have this meeting, and why is it that all my tax returns automatically still go to him?

Unfortunately, you need to speak to your trustee to resolve this problem. If you are unable to speak to your trustee, you may contact the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy and ask for their assistance.

You have the right to schedule your own discharge hearing, but if you haven’t completed all of your duties the Registrar will tell you to come back once you have. If there is some meeting that you missed then you need to work out a plan to make it up somehow with your trustee.
