Not necessarily, although due to certain restrictions contained in the Canadian Business Incorporation Act and it’s provincial equivalents there may be some aspects of how the business is structured that may play a role.
As a result you are best to contact a licensed trustee in your area who will be familiar with the provincial guidelines where you live and discuss whether or not you must make any changes to the structure of the business in order to continue operating.
