My husband may have to file for bankruptcy, as his spouse do i have to file bakruptcy as well??

No, you do not. Before he files check and see how many of his debts you have co-isgned or jointly borrowed. Once he has filed you will be held responsible for these debts.

If you have the time, I suggest you go wth your spouse to whatever meetings they have with a trustee before he files – just so you can hear first hand how it may affect you.
