Legal Aid Lien

March 18th, 2011 by Questions

Legal aid has a lien on a property. If the property owner goes bankrupt. Will that lien be discharged, and the owner still get to keep the home? Assuming little or no equity.

If Legal Aid has registered a proper lien and you decide to keep the hosue (if you file for bankruptcy) then the lien will survive the bankruptcy – it will NOT be discharged.
