This really depends on the nature of the payment. If it is related to your income (i.e. a bonus) then yes and the result is you would be able to keep 1/2 of it (due to the Superintendent’s surplus income provisions), if it is not related to your income you may loose the entire amount (i.e. lottery winning, or inheritance).
