Living Together-Can Girlfriend`s Assets be Seized?
July 14th, 2009 by Questions
I moved into my girlfriend`s home last year. The house and most furniture are hers, purchased prior to our living together. We do not have any joint assets or bank accounts together. She is worried creditors may seize her assets and belongings since we live together. How does she protect herself?

Your girlfriend shouldn’t have anything to worry about. Unless someone can demonstrate that you used your credit to buy her assets, she will not be affected. If she’s truly worried then she should speak to a lawyer herself.
