Sending Bank Statements to Trustee

How many months of bank statements does a trustee require upon filing bankruptcy, if at all?

Commonly, trustees will require bank statements as part of the verification of income and expense statements, one of the duties of a bankrupt. This number of months a bankrupt is required to submit these statements and the accompanying proof (bank statements in your case) is dependent on number of times an individual has been bankrupt and the income, when compared to the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy’s surplus income guidelines. If you’ve already filed bankruptcy, speak to them, as it is up to the trustees’ discretion on what constitutes proof for income and expenses. If you have not yet filed, speak to a local trustee and they will provide you the information based on your specific circumstances.
