personal bankruptcy

October 12th, 2013 by Questions

My debt is only to CRA for company debts after my business was seized and sold by the landlord. It is now in excess of $300,000.00. I have gone to a trustee, made a proposal, had it rejected, have no assets except my CPP and OAS. Will take my CPP.
Trustee says signifigant costs will be assessed if I now go for bankruptcy. How am I suppose to pay those and what might I expect as costs. Have already paid trustee $5000.00.

If I were you, I’d go and see another trustee about filing for bankruptcy. Your payments will be based on your income, not on whatever costs the first trustee thinks they have run up already.
