undischarged

December 7th, 2012 by Questions

I am currently 2 months into my bankruptcy and an unbelievable job opportunity has opened up and I have an interview for it. My question is do I have to disclose the fact that I am an undischarged bankrupt?

If they ask you if you have filed for bankruptcy or if you’ve declared yourself to be insolvent you definitely have to say yes. Further, if your financial situation is a condition of your employment then you need to tell them.

Many employers will ask if you are “bondable” – as an undies charged bankrupt the answer is no, you are not bondable.

Here’s the crux – if you don’t tell them and they find out for themselves then your probably out of a job…
