Current student still owe money directly to school – not sure how to proceed
I’m pretty sure my only option at this point is bankruptcy. However, I’m about to go into my last semester for my degree and I owe my school directly about $4700. Of course I really want to finish school. If I go bankrupt now, can I somehow agree to not discharge the $4700 so I can start and finish this upcoming semester? I’m afraid if i go bankrupt while I’m still in school I will be forced to include my school as a creditor and they will simply kick me out of classes for non-payment and not let me finish

You are correct, if you file for bankruptcy now and you owe your school money, that legally would have to be listed in the bankruptcy and there really isn’t a way around that.
