A judgement will typically stay on your credit bureau for at least 6 years from the date of the judgement. But there are some ways that this can be extended. As a general rule your debts don’t simply disappear and I would expect that before they are removed from your credit bureau you will need to find some way to deal with that debt. Whether that be through the filing of a consumer proposal, a bankruptcy, or some other mechanism to deal with your debt, you will usually find that you are better to take action and be proactive than to simply sit and wait.
